Deleting cases

Treatment plan cases that are no longer needed can be deleted. If you delete the default case, however, a new case will be created with all the procedures that are not assigned to any other case.

Notes:

Deleting procedures from a case does not delete the procedures.

Deleting treatment plan cases requires the "Treatment Plan, Delete" security right.

To delete a case

In Treatment Planner, in the Treatment Plan Case Setup section on the Navigation panel, do one of the following:

Select the case that you want to delete, and then click the Delete Case button .

Right-click the case that you want to delete, and then click Delete Case.

If applicable, do one of the following:

If the Password - Treatment Plan, Delete dialog box appears, user verification has been assigned to the "Treatment Plan, Delete" task. Do one of the following:

If your user account has been granted the "Treatment Plan, Delete" security right, enter your credentials in the User ID and Password boxes, and then click OK.

If your user account has not been granted the "Treatment Plan, Delete" security right, have a user with permission temporarily override this restriction so you can delete a treatment plan case this one time. The overriding user enters his or her credentials in the User ID and Password boxes and then clicks OK.

If a message appears, informing you that you do not have rights to this operation, your user account has not been granted the "Treatment Plan, Delete" security right. To have a user with permission temporarily override this restriction so you can delete a treatment plan case this one time, do the following:

On the message, click Yes.

In the Password - Treatment Plan, Delete dialog box, the overriding user enters his or her credentials in the User ID and Password boxes and then clicks OK.

Do one of the following:

If the selected case does not have any procedures in it, a confirmation message appears. Click Yes to confirm the deletion.

If the selected case has any procedures in it, a dialog box appears. Select whether to add the procedures to the patient's default case or to delete all the procedures, and then click OK.
